A Thanksgiving Prayer November 25, 2021

A Pastor’s Prayer for Thanksgiving

Gracious God, the author of our salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, we gather on this day of Thanksgiving to celebrate the bounty of your grace we have received this day and every moment of our lives. We thank you for the blessing of family, friends, community, nation, and world. We celebrate the privilege to come before you as your beloved children as we are, to be filled and transformed by your redeeming grace. Thank you Jesus, for being with us during times of hardship, frustration and pain. Thank you Jesus, for leading us through the deepest valleys as well as along the still waters and green pastures of life. As we gather today, may this be a time of new beginnings, truly celebrating all that we have received by your powerful and loving hand as we share those gifts with all those along our adventure of life. Lord, we pray for those who are struggling in so many ways. We pray for healing, compassion for all people. We pray that all may find refuge in your Word and truly fall deeper in love with you while loving their neighbor as themselves, understanding that all life is sacred and a gift from you.  Lord, help us to be a conduit of your never-failing love to all people, that offers life in abundance. Thank you Jesus for all that we have received and for the opportunity to serve the needs of others in your name. Help us to celebrate the joy of faith not only on this day but in every moment of our lives, bringing glory to you while sharing the precious gift of your love and grace to all we meet along the way.  Thank you Jesus.  Amen
