Celebrate Jesus!
Pastor Tom Joyce
November 1, 2022
“I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, though they die will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.”
John 11:25
In the midst of our human losses and broken hearts, Jesus offers eternal hope; “I am the resurrection and the life.” Christians throughout the world set aside November 1 as “All Saints Day,” when as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we also celebrate all those who have been resurrected to new life because of what Jesus has done for all those who believe. The saints of the church are those who may not have buildings named after them or articles written for all they have done in life, and maybe we only know who they are, but we loved them; their lives have been infused into ours, their memory enliven our spirits, and they are forever with us in the “great cloud of witnesses” that continually surround us. Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, there is hope and affirmation of life everlasting; that is our faith, our hope, and the peace that Jesus has left with each of us. May this be for you a time of healing and renewal; healing for your human loss and renewal of your faith in Jesus Christ and His commitment to be with you, and “all the saints,” “even to the end of the age.” God has blessed you by those “saints” who have been part of your life; it is by faith that they are alive forevermore. Thank you Jesus “for all the saints.”
