You Can Do It Philippians 4:13

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13

There are challenges in life that bring into question our abilities to overcome them. We tend to minimize the gifts we have been given and the wisdom required to use them. But here is the good news, the really, really good news; we are a vital part of the Body of Christ and it is Christ that intercedes in the midst of our uncertainties and offers strength in the midst of our weakness. We are never alone and have been blessed with the essentials we need to overcome all things through the power of the Holy Spirit that intercedes with “sighs too deep for words.” (Romans 8:26) Our faith is not simply a series of do’s and “thou shalt nots;” it is not an anything goes, works righteous imposition upon our lives. Rather faith is all about knowing with absolute certainty that since nothing can possibly separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, (Romans 8:39) and that we can do “all things through Christ,” everything that seems overwhelming will be overcome by God’s grace working within each of us. You can do anything through the One who has gone to the extent of the cross to be with you, even to the end of the age. Have the courage and the conviction that though life at times seems insurmountable, you have an advocate and a Savior that has promised to be “with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28) Remember, you are far too loved to be ever left without all you need by the One who neither “slumbers nor sleeps.” (Psalm 121). Thank you Jesus.
