Transformed! Romans 12:1-2

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is  the will of God—what is good, acceptable, and perfect.”

Romans 12:2

Living a life of faith in Jesus Christ is about hope and affirmation that truly the will of God for us is to live knowing that wherever our journey may lead our Lord promises to be with us always, “even to the end of the age.” For some, the Christian life means following “the law” and if the law is not followed to a tee, then there would be hell to pay, literally. The reality is that God offers all people the opportunity to live seeing life as Jesus sees it, filled with hope, grace, peace, and joy. We have been given a firm foundation in the 10 Commandments, and the definition of “truth” in the ministry of Jesus Christ. An absolute of our faith is that God is waiting for us to turn back, repent, and truly celebrate new life. Turning back to God allows us no longer to be “conformed to this world but [allowing to] be transformed by the renewing of [our minds].” Faith does not “brainwash” rather it is a gift that lets us know that we are truly God’s children and God loves us more than we could ever imagine; “See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God.” (I John 3:1) You have a choice, a choice of the privilege of living as a child of God, because that is God’s intention for you. God is truly good all the time, proven by Jesus’ transforming presence in your life.
